NO. You do not need to have prior training in integrative or functional medicine; however, you do need an understanding of basic medical concepts and the structure and function of the body. You will find that this course provides a good overview of integrative medicine principles.

YES. You must have a medical license to practice medicine. However, providing integrative or functional health services and nutritional consultations is possible through other types of licenses and certifications. Check with your state/country licensure board  for rules and regulations in your area.

NO. Our courses are designed to complement your education or existing degree. 

You can start immediately! Courses are available on demand, but are updated frequently to include the most current protocols, testing and treatment options. 

YES! One of  Integrative Medicine Academy’s greatest benefits is that you can take the courses anytime, anywhere, as long as you have access to a computer or tablet and reliable internet. Courses and all supporting materials are delivered in English, so you will need a good understanding of the English language.

YES. At the conclusion of each module, there is a test pertaining to what was taught in that module. If you are seeking CME/CE credits and a Certificate of Completion, tests must be passed at a score of 80% or better.

YES. Those who complete each course will receive Category 1 CEU/CE credits (issued upon their request) through Westbrook University.  It is the responsibility of the student to check with their licensing agency in their state, country or province on CEU/CE requirements and accepted accreditation.

YES. Lecture slides, course materials and office form templates, program examples, etc. are included as support materials for each course.

YES!  IMA courses increase your knowledge base in specific areas of study. This will immediately make it easier for you to identify the patients or clients in your practice who may benefit from integrative and functional medicine and allow you to assess their needs more efficiently. The course materials provided can also help you streamline office procedures, laboratory testing, interpretation and treatment protocols.

YES. You will have contact with the instructors via email. Simply email your questions and they will respond directly to you.

Those who take a course through Integrative Medicine Academy are then eligible to become an IMA Member, which provides support and access to our instructors through a private messaging forum. This allows you to communicate directly with the instructors on a regular basis for the duration of your membership.

Those taking individual courses will have access for one year from the date of purchase.  Those pursuing any of the 4 available tracks will have access to each course in their selected track for three years.

Once enrolled, you will be able to access all of your courses and tracks through your personalized dashboard on the website.  Just click on the course name in your dashboard and you will be able to access the course modules.  You must successfully complete each module before you can move to the next one.

Yes!  We offer The “Future of Functional Medicine” Scholarship. 

We will award one scholarship at the end of each quarter (3/31, 6/30, 9/30, 12/31) to the individual who best met the scholarship criteria.  Please click “Scholarship” under the “About Us” tab.
